In Katie's role as Executive Assistant, she supports client services and firm operations. You're sure to speak with her when scheduling meetings and interacting with our client service team. She works to leverage our time—ensuring that we're as responsive and attentive as ever.

Like our two founders, Matt Hall and Rick Hill, Katie formerly worked at Buckingham Asset Management. She was a member of the institutional services team as it grew from a few hundred million in client assets to approximately $800M. In her free time, she is involved with several local nonprofits including Gateway to Hope, The St. Louis Fashion Fund, and the Crisis Nursery. Katie holds an MFA from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University and a bachelor's degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

FAMILY MATTERS

My husband, Doug, and I got married October 2015 at Saint Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. In January 2017 we welcomed our first child together, Sally. She is the center of our whole world: we cannot remember what life was like before she arrived. In our free time, we love to travel, spend time as a family and work around the house.

We are also incredibly close with our extended family. My mom and dad are two of my best friends, and phenomenal grandparents to baby Sally. My brothers Tim and Colin have officially claimed Doug as their mentor and hunting buddy while being fabulous uncles to Sally.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Being involved with nonprofits is one of my favorite things. I have been very blessed and want to give back as much as I can. I serve on the board of Gateway to Hope: A Breast Cancer Lifeline and am very involved with their fundraising events. I also serve on the board of the Saint Louis Fashion Fund. When I have free time I fundraise or volunteer at the St. Louis Crisis Nursery.

MOST MEMORABLE TRIP

While it's hard to pick, Italy is my favorite place to visit, more specifically, Rome — the eternal city! Each trip has been incredibly special. In 2012, I was privileged to meet Pope Benedict with my dad through the Papal Foundation. In 2013, I went on a spur-of-the-moment trip with a friend for the Conclave and witnessed Pope Francis' election and installation mass, but, the most memorable trip I've ever been on was in October 2015 when my husband, Doug, and I were married in Saint Peter's Basilica. We will never forget that trip — and were lucky enough to go back a few months later for an audience with Pope Francis.

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THE PINK HAIR

Ten years ago, the hair salon I was going to participated in a program called "Pink Hair for Hope." During October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) they would attach pink hair extensions and donate the proceeds to various charities. About six years ago I decided that I wanted the pink to stay in year round, so my stylist agreed to continue making a donation and started dyeing a section permanently with hot pink! It doesn't hurt that pink is also my favorite color.
